Configure Your Personal Znuny Settings
######################################

Upon logging in, The notification you see at the top of the screenshot:

> **"Please select a time zone in your preferences and confirm it by clicking the save button."**

This is Znuny's **system notification bar**. You will see other notifications here as well, such as system maintenance alerts.

Time Zone
*********

**What it means**

* Znuny detected that **your agent profile does not yet have a time zone set**.
* Without a time zone, times shown in the interface (ticket creation, updates, escalations, calendar events) will default to the **UTC** or **UserDefaultTimeZone**, which might not match your local time.

.. important:: 
   
   **UserDefaultTimeZone** only adjusts the time. You should still save the user preferences to ensure the time zone is set correctly for your profile.

**Why it's shown**

* This is a **personal setting**, not a system-wide configuration.
* It appears to ensure that each agent's timestamps are displayed accurately, especially important if agents work in different regions or across time zones.
* It remains visible until you set and save your **time zone** in your profile.

**How to fix it**

1. Click on your **user initials** (top right — in your case “SB”).
2. Choose **Personal Preferences** (or “Preferences”).
3. Then choose **User Profile**
4. In the **Time Zone** field, select your local time zone (e.g., `Europe/Berlin`).
5. Click the check to the right of the setting name.
6. The notification will disappear once the screen is refreshed.

**Impact if ignored**

* Ticket timestamps, escalation deadlines, and calendar events may be misleading.
* Could cause confusion in time-sensitive workflows (e.g., SLAs, escalations).
* Agents may miss important deadlines or misinterpret when actions are due.

User Language
=============

Set your preferred language for the interface. This will change all text in the Znuny interface to your selected language, making it easier for you to navigate and use the system.

Notification Settings
=====================

Set your preferences for receiving notifications. You can choose to receive email notifications for ticket updates, reminders, and other important events. Adjust these settings to ensure you stay informed without being overwhelmed by too many notifications.
